Boston Brown Candy

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Over medium heat, carmelize 1 cup sugar and add whipping cream and milk.
  • Stir until sugar is dissolved. Then add 2 cups sugar.
  • Cook to soft ball stage.
  • Cool until warm and add 1 tsp vanilla.
  • Beat until consistency is such that they can be dropped on wax paper.
  • Garnish with walnuts.

Notes

Makes 3 pounds.
